Meet the Team
-
Charlie
This is Charlie, our blind and deaf Yorkie. He came to us as an owner surrender because he needed extra assistance due to his blindness. We love and are elated to care for him and he loves to show his appreciation.
-
Baby
She was found in a garbage can, which when we got her she was only weighing 3lbs and full of fleas. Look at her now, a beautiful and very friendly princess.
-
Daphne
Daphne came to us because her owners were unable to bond with her and she was kept in a cage around the clock. Ever since we’ve had her in our care, she insists on being held by any human she comes in contact with.
-
Archie
Archie’s dad passed away and his mom couldn’t afford his medical expenses. He has Cusheens Disease and has to take pain meds to help with the tremors. Archie loves to eat and doesn’t mind spending all day watching TV with us.
Unfortunately, as of recent, Archie is no longer with us
-
Jax
Jax is our Main Coon mix. He was found severely injured on a good samaritans doorstep in 2015, who rushed him to the emergency vet. We are grateful that he has survived and is with us in great health. He is very chatty, especially if he doesn’t get his wet food on time.
-
Ralph
Ralph came to us from Lake Shore Paws in Valparaiso. He may eventually need wheels, because he was injured in his back legs and spine, which he takes pain meds regularly to help him. He is the sweetest and loves to play with his best friend, Buddy.
-
Hilda
We were traveling on Pulaski on the South Side of Chicago when this girl almost got hit by a car. We were able to catch her and upon closer observation we could see that she had been used as a bait dog. She is such a princess and loves to cuddle and watch movies with us.
-
Christina (Tina)
Rescued from a puppy mill that shut down in 2007, she came to us with a lot of problems. After the proper surgeries to get her on track, she is living her best life and has so much energy even at her age of fifteen.
-
Jake
This is Jake, our tuxedo cat. We took him in as a feral, which after a lot of work and patience he is such a little baby and loves to spend time with us. We are so happy we didn’t give up on this guy because he is such a sweetheart.
-
Emmitt
Fourteen year-old heart worm positive owner surrender because of accidents in the house.
-
Felix
Felix and Oscar are a bonded duo who will be up for adoption in two weeks. Since they are bonded they will need to be adopted together. Call if interested to discuss fee, application, and home visit
